Festival Wristbands – Handmade 2016 Festival O2 Leicester

Why are festival wristbands a popular choice?

Because they are so easy to post out as tickets and easy to check at every entrance point to the venues. They can be made from many different materials from paper to thick plastic, and we find that one day events tend to choose paper, while three and four day events usually go for the more hardwearing plastics so they can withstand a bit of rain (vital for British Festivals) and the rigours of camping.

The Handmade Festival is a classic example of how festival wristbands can be used to make the event run more smoothly for all concerned. Faster entry by just showing an arm, and security having an easy way to check for anyone in the venue who has jumped over a fence to get in without buying a ticket.

Handmade Festival Fri 29 Apr – Sun 1 May 2016

Is an Arts Festival that includes music, comedy, photography and performance, taking place in Leicester City at various venues over the May Bank Holiday weekend, and it is a totally independent music and arts festival geared towards finding the best new and forward thinking music, comedy, art, film, performance and photography and to bring it all together for one weekend.

Festival wristbands - Handmade Line-up

The festival is curated by some of the city’s best loved independent venues and promoters, all of whom have been involved in putting on events for decades, working tirelessly to bring great things to Leicester. We wanted to create an arts festival the city could really be proud of together.
It includes:

Art installations from: De Montfort University, L.O.V.E. Art, Skylarking photography from Leicester Lo Fi, Music photography from the Handmade Photographers and Yours and Mine photography from Jacqui Booth and Andy Stafford

The Venues

The list of venues who are putting on music, performances and comedy shows includes: The O2 Academy 2 Queens Hall, the Scholar Bar, O2 Academy 3 The Cave, Union Square, and The Diner. All these venues have a full programme of shows running all weekend, so you can go from venue to venue choosing your favorites, or just hang out in one of them and be entertained all day and all evening.

Brilliant Idea

We think that this is a great example of where festival wristbands can be used to enhance the experience of the ticket buyers and the venues. You can easily have one colour printed wristband for a single show, a different colour for all shows at one specific venue, and a third colour for an all-inclusive ticket giving access to any show at any of the venues for the whole weekend.
