What do Hotels & Rugby Tours have in Common?

Can you guess what Hotels and Rugby Tours have in common?

No, it isn’t what you are thinking of – it losing things or people! And a bunch of simple silicone wristbands can help. Here’s how…

Let’s start with Hotels:

Hotel

Anytown Hotel

Hotels have people walking in all day to book in, book out, eat and drink, meet business colleagues, have interviews, attend trainings or corporate meetings; so how do you know that everyone in the building is actually there for a legitimate reason?

When someone strolls into the gym or swimming pool, have they just walked in from the street to use it for free? Or are they a booked-in guest? There is a very easy way to know at a glance who everyone one is, if you have some different coloured branded silicone wristbands…

All delegates to the training rooms, meeting rooms or conference room could have a blue one. All guests booked into the Hotel can be told to wear a yellow one to access the gym or spa pool, and that means everyone who is NOT wearing one, is therefore not accounted for in your visitors book or guest list.

This could have huge benefits for your Fire safety precautions, you will always know how many wristbands are issued out, and it will be easy to spot any unauthorised access to other parts of the Hotel.  Simples!

Now let’s look at Rugby Tours:

rugby tours

Rugby tours in May

May is traditionally the time for most Rugby Clubs to go on a 4 day tour somewhere, on the pretext of playing a game or two in a seaside town or foreign city. Imagine a large group of men setting off on a 4 or 5 day Rugby Tour, perhaps by coach, train or at the Airport jetting off to Paris or Rome for the weekend. If you are trying to make sure everyone is ticked off the list, and there on time; just give them a branded Rugby Club Wristband to wear.

That makes it easy to see where everyone is, and easy the other end when they arrive at their hotel for the weekend, to be identified as part of the group.

Later on, while exploring the local nightlife; there may possibly be times when they find it difficult to speak in clear sentences – especially late in the evenings, so a useful wristband with the words:

“Please return me to the Plaza Hotel, Blackpool, on tour with Any town Rugby Club”

Just might come in very useful…
